Slight Scare

We had a slight scare on Tuesday, while I was on my way to my 38-week checkup. Another driver swerved to miss another car and sideswiped me on the service road of the highway. Luckily I was not hurt at all, but had to go to the hospital to get monitored. Turns out I was having regular but mild contractions (probably due to stress) which didn't go away after 4 hours of monitoring, so they kept me overnight. Baby was doing just fine though - they said he didn't seem bothered at all by the accident. I was much better in the morning, and my doctor let me go home in the afternoon. Phew! Even though it was an unfortunate situation, I felt that God really protected me and baby - not a scratch on me, not even muscle soreness the next day, and Baby was doing well the whole time. Plus, we got a sneak preview of Labor & Delivery so now we know kinda what to expect. Hopefully the next time we're there, we'll come back with a baby!
